Pettinaroli introduces dynamic balancing valves

Pettinaroli is in the process of introducing dynamic balancing valves (PICV) to the Danish market.

The dynamic balancing valves from Pettinaroli, also called PICV (Pressure Independent Control Valves), are already well established in a number of European countries.

In Denmark, the market is still developing, but with strong interest and a growing focus on energy efficiency and reliability in heating and cooling systems, we at Pettinaroli see a clear potential – and not least a need – for the technology.

Benefits for installers: Less time on balancing – more time for value-creating work

One of the biggest advantages of PICV valves is that they combine several functions into a single component: pressure-independent flow control, differential pressure control, and precise balancing. This means fewer components and less complexity during installation.

PICV solutions eliminate the need for manual balancing valves and make the balancing process much simpler and faster. This saves time and ensures more consistent quality in installations. In addition, the valves are easy to adapt to system changes later on, making them ideal for both new construction and renovation.

A benefit for both indoor climate and energy consumption

For the end user, correct flow throughout the system means higher comfort and more stable temperature control. At the same time, energy consumption is optimized, which can be noticed both on the heating bill and the CO₂ footprint.

When a heating system is properly balanced, the pump’s energy consumption is significantly reduced, and the overall efficiency of the system increases.

Environment and sustainability in focus

PICV valves fit perfectly with the current demands for green transition and energy efficiency. They actively help reduce energy waste, make it easier to comply with building regulation energy requirements, and simultaneously support building certifications such as DGNB and BREEAM, which is relevant for both public and private construction.
